The risk of pregnancy may be much lower (if semen accidentally enters the vagina pregnancy is possible) but you can catch an STI through vaginal, anal and oral sex. 

If you’re getting tested for STIs, please tell your doctor about the type of sex you had so they don’t misdiagnose you.

This is not true.

If you have had unprotected sex it is recommended that you get screened for STIs a few weeks later. Some STIs can lie dormant for weeks, months or even years with minimal or no symptoms but are still contagious.
